Placing Talent is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of clinical coding services. We are seeking an experienced and accredited Clinical Coder to join a high-performing remote team on a 12-month contract basis, with excellent prospects for extension.

The Role

 

As a Contract Clinical Coder, you will play a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality clinical coding services. This position is ideally suited to a coder who is confident working independently, enjoys solving complex coding challenges, and can adapt to a variety of clinical scenarios.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Deliver high-quality remote clinical coding services from home.
  • Ensure coding is completed accurately, consistently, and within agreed deadlines.
  • Code across a broad range of specialties in accordance with Coding Classifications Service standards and conventions.
  • Manage workloads effectively to meet productivity and episode completion targets.
  • Escalate coding queries and documentation issues promptly to the relevant client contacts.
  • Maintain the highest standards of coding quality and compliance.

 

About You

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • National Clinical Coding Qualification (NCCQ).
  • A minimum of 3 years' UK clinical coding experience.
  • Attendance at an up-to-date Clinical Coding Refresher Course.
  • Demonstrable experience coding complex clinical episodes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to coding accuracy.
  • The ability to work autonomously and consistently achieve productivity targets.
  • Excellent communication and professional working practices.
